Crypto Hedge Fund Temple Capital Hires TradFi Execs as Institutional Demand Grows
Temple Capital, a crypto hedge fund founded in 2018 and backed by Bain Capital and Pantera Capital, has expanded its management team by hiring executives from traditional finance firms. Richard Murray, the former CEO of Hilbert Capital, has joined as a partner. Additionally, Guy Griffiths, previously with macro hedge fund Brevan Howard for 19 years, will serve as the chief financial officer. Cristian-Teodor Tudor, formerly the lead quant developer at BlueCrest, has also joined as a quant researcher. These hires come in response to rising institutional demand for crypto investment opportunities, with Temple Capital currently managing $120 million in assets. The firm aims to leverage the expertise of these new executives to navigate the evolving crypto landscape effectively.
