Crypto execs expect global banking push into Bitcoin by end of 2025
Executives from Messari and Sygnum Bank are optimistic about the growth of Bitcoin adoption by banks by 2025, highlighting a potential global banking push into Bitcoin services. During a panel at Paris Blockchain Week on April 8, Messari CEO Eric Turner and Sygnum co-founder Thomas Eichenberger discussed the expected shift in banking's involvement with crypto, particularly in the latter half of 2025 as regulatory clarity increases. Turner noted that while Q2 may be subdued, there are exciting developments anticipated for Q3 and Q4. A critical factor driving this optimism is the broader regulatory momentum in the U.S., which may establish a solid market structure for crypto. Eichenberger added that international banks with U.S. branches are gearing up to offer crypto services, having hesitated due to regulatory fears. With clearer regulations, he predicts that these international banks will actively launch crypto-related services soon.
