Crypto AI agents see ‘remarkable traction’ but value still unclear: Sygnum
According to Sygnum Bank, the interest in AI-related crypto projects is increasing, marking the emergence of a niche of crypto AI agents. Although these agents have gained remarkable traction, researchers caution that they have yet to prove their value beyond speculation. The report highlights that AI infrastructure projects, including Bittensor, the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, and Phala Network, are attempting to address practical challenges by integrating AI services with decentralized applications. Notably, the market capitalization of AI agents has more than doubled to $10 billion in a single quarter. Others in the field, including Franklin Templeton and OpenAI's CEO, reinforce the optimistic outlook on AI agents. However, Sygnum warns that the rise of affordable Chinese AI technologies has negatively impacted crypto AI projects, despite recent recovery signs. The potential for growth in tokens related to AI agents suggests an ongoing exploration of value creation in this space.
