Cecilia Hsueh, CEO of Morph, Bitget's layer-2 project, is transitioning to an advisory role, having privately informed the leadership about her decision back in March. Hsueh acknowledged the impact of this change at ETHDenver, expressing confidence in her successor, Joe Goltra, who has over a decade of experience in the field. Goltra has been part of Morph since early this year and is now taking over as CEO amidst ongoing transitions within the company. He emphasizes a renewed focus on consumer crypto, particularly stablecoins and expanding into payments, targeting both Asian and U.S. markets. The team is currently assessing the potential of a token launch while prioritizing financial discipline without immediate plans for a Series A funding round. Hsueh noted the stable team structure at Morph made her departure easier as she aims to support a positive culture as an external advisor. The leadership transition also involves a collaboration with Bai, a pivotal figure during this period who is expected to reduce his involvement over time.
