Bybit processes all withdrawals, system returns to ‘normal pace’ — Ben Zhou
Bybit CEO Ben Zhou announced that all withdrawals have been processed and the system is back to normal following a significant hack that drained $1.5 billion from the exchange. Zhou reassured users that there are no limits or delays on withdrawals, extending his apologies for the incident to his followers. He mentioned that a full incident report and security assessment would be released shortly. Earlier, during a livestream, he highlighted issues related to congestion after the hack, which left 4,000 pending transactions. Several industry commentators praised Zhou's handling of the crisis. In a supportive move, exchanges Bitget and Crypto.com pledged assistance, with Bitget transferring 4,000 Ether, valued around $105 million, to Bybit. Bitget’s CEO noted the company is monitoring suspicious activities and will block transactions from illicit addresses.
