BTC Fills Yet Another CME Futures Gap as Price Dropped to $76,700
Bitcoin's price on CME futures fell to approximately $76,700, which filled a CME futures gap from November 5, 2020, when President Trump won the U.S. election. A previous drop at the end of February saw Bitcoin near $78,500, but it did not fully close the gap at that time. The drop on Monday allowed for the gap to close, which lay between $77,930 and $80,600. CME Bitcoin futures gaps occur due to the limited trading hours of futures markets compared to the continuous trading of Bitcoin spot markets. Out of the past 80 CME futures gaps noted, nearly all have been filled, with only one remaining gap positioned between $84,200 and $85,900.
