Brave adds Cardano blockchain support to browser and Web3 wallet
Brave has integrated Cardano blockchain support into its native and standalone wallets, allowing users direct access to its assets and governance features. This integration, resulting from a partnership with Input Output, aims to enhance multi-chain access, security, and governance participation for Brave users. Brendan Eich, co-founder of Brave, highlighted the focus on maximizing user choice in engaging with decentralized ecosystems. Besides Cardano, Brave already supports Ethereum and Solana, with the integration hinting at future innovations, particularly involving the Midnight ecosystem—a privacy-focused sidechain. Input Output's CEO Charles Hoskinson noted potential innovations, such as enabling free transactions for NFT ticket holders, by leveraging the Cardano network. The collaboration indicates a commitment to improving user experience while fostering broader blockchain adoption, particularly through initiatives like Midnight that tackle transparency issues in business and medicine.
