Bitget and UNICEF Partner to Train 300K Girls in Blockchain
Bitget has partnered with UNICEF Luxembourg in a three-year initiative to empower 300,000 girls with digital skills and blockchain literacy across eight countries: Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa. This collaboration seeks to close the gender skills gap in STEM fields, with a goal of reaching 1.1 million girls by 2027 through the Game Changers Coalition, which also includes organizations like the Global Video Game Coalition and Women in Games. Bitget's $10 million Blockchain4Her initiative aims to promote women's digital literacy and financial independence through mentorship and educational resources. The educational program will be developed in conjunction with UNICEF, incorporating interactive blockchain training modules that utilize video game design for teaching fundamentals. This gamified approach and the integration of emerging technologies like generative AI aim to broaden access to essential digital skills, addressing the significant economic disadvantages faced by young women in lower-income regions due to limited access to digital opportunities.
