Bitcoin Standard author to develop Austrian economics curriculum for UK school
Lomond School, a private institution in Scotland, is set to begin accepting Bitcoin for tuition payments and will partner with Saifedean Ammous, author of _The Bitcoin Standard_, to introduce a curriculum focused on Bitcoin and Austrian economics. The announcement was made on April 12, with Ammous expressing excitement about making educational materials on Bitcoin widely available. This initiative marks Lomond School as the first in the UK to accept Bitcoin for tuition, effective from the autumn semester of 2025. Ammous' book, _The Bitcoin Standard_, outlines the economic philosophy of Bitcoin and has sold over a million copies globally, reflecting the increasing acceptance of Bitcoin in educational settings. Educational institutions worldwide have been introducing Bitcoin-related courses for years, with notable programs emerging in places like the University of Nicosia and New York University's Stern School of Business. As academic interest grows, this new curriculum at Lomond School signals a significant step in integrating cryptocurrency education into traditional schooling.
