Bitcoin Staking Protocol Babylon Reveals BABY Token Airdrop
The Babylon Foundation has announced an airdrop of its new BABY token to Bitcoin stakers and early supporters as part of the launch of the Babylon Genesis Network. A total of 600 million BABY tokens will be distributed, with 585 million allocated to Bitcoin stakers. The largest share—a whopping 335 million tokens—is designated for participants in the Base Phase-1 staking, where users locked up native Bitcoin tokens. An additional 200 million tokens are set aside for users transitioning from Phase-1 to Phase-2 staking, while smaller allocations are intended for Pioneer Pass NFT holders and GitHub contributors. Users will receive their airdropped tokens directly to registered BABY addresses upon the network launch, requiring no claim actions. This initiative is part of Babylon's broader goal to integrate Bitcoin staking as a backbone for proof-of-stake systems, enabling users to stake both BTC and BABY tokens. The price of Bitcoin has seen a significant drop, influenced by new tariffs announced by U.S. President Trump, which resulted in declines across several altcoins.
