Bitcoin Miner Bitdeer's Own BTC Holdings Surge Since Start of Year
Singapore-based Bitcoin miner Bitdeer has significantly boosted its Bitcoin holdings by approximately 75% since the start of 2025, now holding 1,039 Bitcoin worth nearly $87 million. The growth follows a self-mining output of 110 Bitcoin in February, a slight decrease from January's 126 BTC due to fewer days in the month. Bitdeer's self-mining activities account for one-third of its business, with the remaining ventures in cloud hash subscriptions and hosted mining. Compared to other publicly traded miners like Marathon Digital and Riot Platforms, which hold significantly larger amounts of Bitcoin, Bitdeer's recent increase allows it to meet the threshold set by Bitwise for tracking Bitcoin holdings among public companies. However, Bitwise has yet to indicate plans to add Bitdeer to its tracking list. Notably, the market for corporate Bitcoin purchases has expanded significantly, leading to more companies, including Rumble, adding Bitcoin to their balance sheets amid evolving perceptions of cryptocurrency in the business world.
