Bitcoin bull cycle is over, CryptoQuant CEO warns, citing onchain metrics
CryptoQuant's CEO Ki Young Ju has warned that Bitcoin's bull market may already be over, expecting 6 to 12 months of bearish or sideways price action. This marks a shift from his earlier stance that the bull cycle was slow but still intact. Ju explained that onchain metrics are currently signaling bearish trends, with fresh liquidity diminishing and new whales selling Bitcoin at lower prices. The warning comes as Bitcoin's funding rates hover near 0%, indicating indecision among traders. In contrast, other analysts, including Swyftx's Pav Hundal, maintain a less pessimistic outlook, citing a steady global economy and the potential for risks to shift back to on-risk assets. Meanwhile, other crypto analysts suggest that the recent increase in global money supply could lead to an uptrend for Bitcoin, predicting possible new all-time highs in the near future. Amidst various opinions, it appears there is significant uncertainty surrounding Bitcoin's immediate future.
