Binance has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kyrgyzstan’s National Agency for Investments to introduce crypto payment infrastructure and blockchain education in the country. This agreement was formalized during the inaugural meeting of the Council for the Development of Digital Assets. The partnership will allow the implementation of Binance Pay in Kyrgyzstan, facilitating crypto-based transactions for residents and visitors. Additionally, Binance Academy will collaborate with local government agencies to develop blockchain-focused educational programs. Kyrgyzstan's president has also authorized a pilot project for a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), which aims to enhance the legal recognition of digital assets. The region is notable for its cryptocurrency mining activities due to abundant hydroelectric resources, yet only a fraction of its hydropower potential has been utilized. This partnership represents Binance's broader efforts to expand its collaborations with governments globally and promote the cryptocurrency sector.
