A Binance Research survey reveals that 95% of Latin American cryptocurrency users intend to increase their holdings in 2025. The survey, which included over 10,000 respondents from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, indicates a remarkable surge in adoption, with a 116% growth in 2024 that brought the total number of users to 55 million, accounting for nearly 10% of global cryptocurrency users. The data shows that 40.1% plan to purchase more crypto in the next three months, and only 4.9% do not intend to invest further this year. Influencing factors include rising asset prices, positive regulatory changes, and the introduction of new financial products, such as spot bitcoin ETFs. Many users have been in the crypto space for over a year, drawn by the potential for significant returns, financial independence, portfolio diversification, and privacy. Binane’s regional VP for Latin America, Guilherme Nazar, reaffirmed the findings, emphasizing the expanding crypto sector in the region.
