Berachain, a proof of liquidity layer-1 blockchain, is set to airdrop approximately $632 million worth of its BERA token to eligible users as it launches its mainnet on February 6. The Berachain Foundation announced that around 80 million BERA tokens will be distributed to those qualified. According to tokenomics, 500 million BERA tokens will be issued overall, with 15.8% allocated for the airdrop. The BERA token is currently anticipated to trade at approximately $8 per token, suggesting a total airdrop value of around $632 million, although this figure may fluctuate due to market volatility. Eligible users can verify token allocations via the Berachain airdrop checker, with initial claims starting on February 6; however, those who participated in social engagements will need to wait until February 10 to claim. A significant portion of the airdrop is reserved for holders of Bong Bears NFTs and related projects. Furthermore, Berachain emphasizes its focus on using liquidity to enhance security within its blockchain framework.
