Avalanche-backed Fusion launches with $100M to boost blockchain adoption
Avalanche, Helix, and Faculty Group have introduced Fusion, a $100 million initiative aimed at creating modular blockchain networks tailored for specific industries. Built on Avalanche, Fusion incorporates a two-layer architecture with composers and customizable layer-1 networks, offering plug-and-play services such as compute, identity, and data oracles. This initiative seeks to enhance real-world adoption by focusing on delivering business value rather than just blockspace. The Fusion team anticipates significant growth in its ecosystem over the next few years, starting with five composers and nearly 100 modules in its first year, with expectations to have tens of composers and hundreds of modules by year three. Funded through existing Avalanche programs, the initiative aims to accelerate the growth of the Fusion ecosystem, supporting both developers and end-users.
