Adidas has partnered with the game Xociety to launch a collection of 2,600 limited edition NFT mystery boxes that will contain Adidas-themed character skins for avatars in the game. Scheduled for release on May 16, 2025, each mystery box will be priced at $129 and includes digital clothing sets that vary in rarity, along with authenticity certificates and XCS tokens representing corporate shares in Xociety. This collaboration continues Adidas' exploration in the blockchain and NFT space, following earlier projects with brands like Bored Ape and Doodles. The rarest boxes will house all eight available skin sets, while less rare boxes will feature fewer sets. The digital apparel can be traded on various marketplaces after the drop. The gaming platform Xociety is set to keep its operations aligned with current trends, ensuring that its upcoming playtests and overall game mechanics remain engaging for users.
