1inch launches on Solana with crosschain swaps in the pipeline
Decentralized exchange aggregator 1inch has officially launched on the Solana blockchain, enabling users to trade over 1 million Solana-based tokens with optimized rates and lower transaction fees, reportedly less than one cent. The integration brings 1inch’s Fusion protocol to Solana for the first time, allowing users to specify swap parameters executed through Dutch auction mechanics. This enhancement promises more efficient trading operations, capitalizing on Solana’s fast block times. Additionally, 1inch plans to roll out crosschain swaps between Solana and over 10 other integrated blockchains in the coming months, though no specific launch date has been confirmed yet. The move comes as Solana has shown impressive performance metrics, surpassing Ethereum and layer-2 networks in DEX trading volume, transactions, and active addresses. With the introduction of six APIs via the 1inch Developer Portal, developers will have tools to create DApps on the 1inch-Solana infrastructure, further enriching the DeFi landscape.
